Remove the M: Drive

  1. Press Windows Key + R simultaneously
  2. The Run dialog box will appear
  3. In the Run dialog box, copy and paste the following command: del-vpf
  4. net use m: /delete
  5. Press Enter

Map the M: Drive

  1. Please establish a VPN connection and then follow these steps:
  2. Press Windows Key + R simultaneously
  3. The Run dialog box will appear
  4. In the Run dialog box, copy and paste the following command:run-vpf.png
  5. net use m: \\vpf-share.mit.edu\vpf * /persistent:yes
  6. Press Enter
  7. A black Command Prompt window will appear prompting you to "Type the password for \vpf-share.mit.edu\vpf:"cmd-vpf.png
  8. Enter your Kerberos password (no characters will appear as you enter your password).net-drives.png
  9. Press Enter.
  10. The M: Drive should now be mapped successfully.
